Do you need help treating medical trauma?

Are you already treating it, but it's not as effective as you'd like?

You may be missing the attachment trauma that is happening underneath.

This course examines the role of attachment trauma as an underlying factor in medical trauma and health outcomes.

Participants will explore how early and adult attachment disruptions influence client regulation, communication, and engagement within medical systems.

The course reviews common attachment patterns and their impact on medical encounters, treatment adherence, and interdisciplinary care.

Participants will learn attachment‑informed, trauma‑responsive strategies to support client agency, regulation, and advocacy when navigating medical care.

Content is grounded in clinical practice and relevant to therapists and medical providers working with clients affected by medical trauma, chronic illness, or complex health care interactions.

    Feedback:

"This was a great course. The topic is so unique, but also so important. I love the way it was presented, with both case study and a personal experience. I liked how you weren't necessarily only talking about one modality, but using language like modality of your choice was nice. I will be recommending this to colleagues! Thank you so much!"

"It helped me reflect on my own history with trauma and the medical system in addition to reinforcing how to help my clients when they are confronted with the (avoidant) medical system."

"You hit the objectives well and it's definitely going to make me think of things a bit differently as I move forward."
