Supervision asks us to occupy an unusual position. We’re supporting another clinician’s development while also evaluating their work. We have to know when to step in, when to hold back, when to challenge, and when our own reactions might be telling us something worth paying attention to. Sometimes, we just need somewhere to think about it.
Supervision in Practice is an ongoing, small-group consultation space for licensed mental health professionals who currently provide clinical supervision. This is not formal clinical supervision or a training group. Instead, we bring the questions, dilemmas, and experiences that arise in our supervisory work and think about them together.
We might talk about difficult feedback, balancing support with accountability, clinical judgment concerns, dependency or defensiveness, boundaries and authority, the supervisor/employer relationship, or moments when supervision simply doesn't seem to be working.
The group is facilitated by Jennifer Petty, LMHC, founder and clinical director of Seattle Counseling Center. Jennifer's role is to facilitate thoughtful, candid consultation rather than teach from the front of the room.
When: Every other Tuesday, beginning October 6, 2026, 1:00–2:30 PM
Where: Online via Google Meet
Cost: $30 per meeting

If you’re a newer supervisor looking for a place to think through the experience, or an experienced supervisor who wants consultation beyond your own organization, you’re welcome to join us.
