This event will cover key aspects of assessing and treating anxiety disorders and OCD. It highlights diagnostic criteria, including distinctions between subtypes of OCD, and outlines how to conduct initial assessments using specific tools. It also addresses recognizing high-risk or treatment-resistant cases, knowing when to refer clients to higher levels of care, and the role of evidence-based treatments like ERP, CBT, and medication. It explores barriers to treatment engagement and strategies to overcome them, as well as the importance of family involvement and psychoeducation to improve treatment outcomes.
