Business Retreat for Private Practitioners

05/24/2024 2:31 PM | Anonymous

Despite a lack of business training that prepares us to be small-business owners, many mental health professionals opt for self-employment as private practitioners. For some of us, we make this decision because our experiences as agency employees have included discrimination, organizational toxicity, lack of professional advancement pathways, and/or poverty-level wages that are negatively affecting our own mental health and economic stability, which can lead to burnout. And some of us are naturally entrepreneurial, excited by the sense of ownership, autonomy, flexibility, and creative outlets associated with owning our own business.

Because we believe that for many in this field, private practice is the most viable option for emotional and economic wellbeing, 6R Learning Collaborative wants to support folks in this journey regardless of what stage you are at! While there are many opportunities for clinical continuing education, the business resources for starting a private practice and developing the mindset and skills to ensure its success are much more limited.  So we are offering a business retreat specifically designed for mental health professionals in private practice.

We invite you to join us for a 2-day retreat filled with opportunities for applied learning related to starting and strengthening your business, meaningful connection with other clinicians in private practice, and self-care to nurture your body and spirit. CEUs will be provided for some workshops. The retreat is located in south Seattle, within close proximity to the airport and other public transportation. Discounts are offered through May 31 in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month because your mental health matters too! More information can be found at www.buildingabundanceretreat.com. We hope to see you there!
