Hello, Associate hours can be a bit tricky, different states have different requirements for how those hours are accrued and counted towards a full license. I would recommend reaching out to WA DOH to ask this question if you are not able to find an answer on the website for how to transfer/apply hours accrued outside of WA towards your full licensing hours.

Hello! If this is not the appropriate forum to post this, let me know and I'll remove it. I am a graduate student in clinical mental health counseling set to graduate in May 2026. I am interested in working internationally as a counselor, and I am wondering if it is possible to complete my post-grad Associate supervision (and hours) in Ireland or Scotland. And should I want to return and practice in WA, would those hrs be acceptable? Does anyone here have experience working in either Ireland or Scotland while being licensed in WA state too?
