It may also help to reach out to the professional organizations of the countries you will be residing in to see what the laws and regulations are to practice there. Here are some links:

    Congrats on your upcoming graduation!

    Hello,

Associate hours can be a bit tricky, different states have different requirements for how those hours are accrued and counted towards a full license. I would recommend reaching out to WA DOH to ask this question if you are not able to find an answer on the website for how to transfer/apply hours accrued outside of WA towards your full licensing hours.

Hello! If this is not the appropriate forum to post this, let me know and I'll remove it.

I am a graduate student in clinical mental health counseling set to graduate in May 2026. I am interested in working internationally as a counselor, and I am wondering if it is possible to complete my post-grad Associate supervision (and hours) in Ireland or Scotland. And should I want to return and practice in WA, would those hrs be acceptable?

Does anyone here have experience working in either Ireland or Scotland while being licensed in WA state too? I'd love to chat with you!

    Thank you!
