Dr. Cristina Louk is a doctoral-level Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) specializing in adult ADHD, late-identified neurodivergence, and complex trauma. She holds a BS in Psychology, an MA, and a PhD in Clinical Psychology, and works from a humanistic, positive psychology framework centered on developing people from the inside out, not just addressing symptoms. Since founding her private practice, Peace Humanistic Therapy, PLLC, in 2021, she has built on clinical experience dating back to 2017 to guide adults through ADHD and trauma assessment and treatment.

Her background spans both agency and private practice settings. She served as director of a supported living agency, where she worked extensively with individuals with intellectual disabilities and co-occurring conditions including ADHD, ASD, and other mental health comorbidities, and her clinical training included neurodevelopmental assessment for intellectual disability, ADHD, and autism. She also completed a rotation at the Providence Regional Cancer Partnership, supporting individuals navigating cancer treatment. Today, her practice offers comprehensive ADHD and trauma assessments alongside ongoing therapy.

Dr. Louk is equally committed to developing other clinicians. She holds the ACS credential through the Center for Credentialing and Education and serves as a University Supervisor for Counseling@Northwestern at The Family Institute at Northwestern University. Her supervision approach is grounded in the same humanistic framework she brings to clinical work, helping supervisees grow into confident, self-aware practitioners rather than simply meeting competency checklists. She also serves as President of the Washington Mental Health Counselors Association.

With 30 years of experience teaching ballet and a lifetime of yoga practice, Dr. Louk deeply understands the role of movement in mental health, emotion regulation, and nervous system regulation. She has personally used yoga therapy, including asana, pranayama, and Yoga Sutra study, in her own journey managing ADHD and a dysregulated nervous system. This lived experience informs both her clinical specialization and the way she teaches and supervises other clinicians working with these populations.
