Call for Board Nominations

The Washington Mental Health Counselor Association is accepting nominations for our board. WMHCA is passionate about supporting clinicians through education, advocacy, and membership outreach.

WMHCA is currently accepting nominations for treasurer, graduate student representative, president elect, and general board members.  Any member of WMHCA can to apply for these positions.

The president-elect serves a 4-year term. (1 year as president-elect, 2 years as president, 1 year as past-president)
The treasurer serves a 2-year term.
The graduate student representatives serve a 1-year term.
General board members serve a 2-year term.

The treasurer and president-elect also serve on the executive committee.

The WMHCA board is responsible for the formulation of programs and policies for the association. Board members are mission advocates. They fulfill their roles in a way that reflects the organization's values. Board members' actions should strengthen the programs and services of the organization, recruit and build strong board members and enhance the organization's public standing. The board is a working board, meaning there is work over and above meeting attendance. Each board member actively participates on one committee.
