It is an honor to join you on your path toward healing and wholeness, integration, and healthy relationships with yourself and others. There are many things that can bring us to counseling - stress and anxiety, life transitions, relational challenges, experiences of trauma or loss, and a desire to live in more authentic and meaningful ways. Therapy is a holistic, and collaborative undertaking. I am a Trauma-Informed therapist, drawing on a number of modalities including Attachment Theory, Object Relations, Intersectionality, Existential, Relational Psychodynamic, Systems Theory, Mindfulness, CBT, and Somatic Therapy.

Couples Therapy and Divorce Geriatrics and Lifespan LGBTQ Issues Life Transitions Men's Issues Psychotherapy PTSD Race and Ethnicity Issues Solution Focused Brief Therapy Women's Issues My style is very integrative and based on developmental need. I absolutely love helping new clinicians (whether new to therapy in general or sex therapy specifically) build their confidence and figure out a way to provide therapy that suits them best. Specific words I would use to describe my style would be: interpersonal, direct, feminist, abolitionist, pleasure-oriented, and passionate. I am an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist so supervisees hoping to gain more skills in working with sexual issues, sexual identity, and intimacy in therapy are highly encouraged to reach out! I offer pay-per-session supervision and for those working towards licensure, I can also offer a supervision bundle that includes assistance in setting up a private practice. I am licensed in Washington State.

I have significant experience working with employees working in high threat countries from various organizations including USAID, Chemonics, Mercy Corps, United States Institute of Peace (USIP), AECOM, Internews and the US State Department, offering immediate support in the face of critical incidents, ongoing counseling support and facilitating regular debriefings upon return to the United States or when transitioning to a new post. My goal in all I do is to invite all those I work with into healthier relationships – both with themselves and those around them.

Anxiety Behavioral Health Medical and Rehabilitation Psychotherapy I am a Seattle-area therapist with a holistic approach to treating depression, anxiety, trauma, which includes mindfulness and behavior therapy approaches. My therapy focus is often on improving quality of life, finding a greater comfort with uncertainty and expanding self awareness and social connection. I believe that if we expand our ability to manage and learn from our emotions--such as anxiety, anger, joy, shame and sadness-- we can move past obstacles, such as fear and self-criticism, and find greater connection and well-being. My counseling style is grounded in Existential psychology which focuses attention on the ‘here and now’ of our experience in order to enhance the ability to make choices, find meaning, and understand oneself more fully; all of this work is done in order to live an authentic life. I have been have qualified to provide both individual and group Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy. I see individuals aged 19 or older.

I hold a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision. This degree equipped me as a counseling professional to teach in higher education classrooms by learning the theory and practice of educating and supervising future counselors in clinical, behavioral, and human services settings. It also allowed me to learn and apply leadership skills in these same setting through teaching, training, and consultation. Over time and through experience I have become very passionate about the supervision process for new professionals and the consultation process for seasoned professionals. I have taught various classes as an Assistant Professor for a CACREP accredited and ACA approved counselor education and supervision doctoral program and have also taught adjunct for master’s level counseling classes. I belong to the following organizations: • American Counseling Association (ACA) • American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) • Washington Mental Health Counselors Association (WMHCA) • Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (ACES) • Western Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (WACES) Clinically, I have been providing mental health and substance use disorder services for over 25 years. I am currently the co-owner of Fountaingate Wellness in Marysville, WA. I enjoy collaborating with counselors who wish to enthusiastically approach the supervision process to grow personally and professionally. I prefer supervisees who are looking for more than a supervision experience of merely checking off boxes, but rather, one who is willing to wrestle with oneself as an instrument of change that won’t get in the way of the change process. If that is you and you would like to collaborate with me, please contact me for details on the next step.
