Anxiety Behavioral Health Consulting and Coaching Domestic Violence LGBTQ Issues Life Transitions Psychotherapy PTSD Race and Ethnicity Issues Women's Issues As a clinical supervisor, I thrive in working collaboratively with supervisees, acting as a thought partner, coach, mentor, and supervisor. In supervision, as in therapy, I believe that personal and professional growth arises from a foundation of integrity, curiosity, courage, and humor. I believe my role as a clinician is to support clients in navigating life, relationships, and mental health in ways that are aligned with their needs and values. I do this through an intersectional and strengths-based lens that is grounded in the unique experiences of each individual. I specialize in working with BIPOC and Latinx clients, neurodiverse people, transgender and gender non-conforming individuals, folks from queer, bisexual, asexual, lesbian, and gay communities, folks who practice BDSM, non-monogamy/polyamory/relationship anarchy, and activists. I use a good amount of humor and curiosity in my approach, as I believe the elements of fun, delight, and joy are important parts of the professional growth process. If we work together, you will be challenged and you will be uplifted. I have an extensive background in working with BIPOC supervisees and mentees addressing a variety of clinical issues with particular specialties in working with individuals, children, and families in the LGBTQIA+ community, marginalized and underserved communities, and those who have experienced trauma. I offer individual therapy in my office in Seattle and online across WA state. I have been challenged and supported in my own supervision relationships and feel incredibly privileged to have supervised MSW interns, staff therapists, and associate-level therapists over the last 10+ years. I am a Washington State approved supervisor in accordance with WAC 246-809-334, WAC 246-809-234, and WAC 246-809-134 and can provide clinical supervision to LSWAIC social workers, LMHCAs and LMFTAs working toward their independent licenses in Washington state. I enjoy holding space for strengths, social justice, intersecting identities, and ethics while supporting associates in their clinical work, business practices, and professional development. While I have a specialty in perinatal mental health and primarily see individual adults, I commonly address issues including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, intrusive thoughts, trauma, parenting, attachment, transitions, roles and identities, and body image and acceptance in my therapeutic work. I pay attention to how oppression (racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, fat stigma, etc) manifests in our lives; to the anger, stress, grief and other emotions we experience living through a global pandemic and extraordinary gun violence in the US; and in the ways we find strength, resilience and power in community. I have worked in diverse settings with adults, adolescents, children and families including community mental health, home-based child and family services, medical settings, emergency psychiatric services, a partial hospitalization program, and in private practice in MA and WA.

Adolescents Anxiety Behavioral Health Children Depression and Bipolar LGBTQ Issues Life Transitions Hello! I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor currently providing services via telehealth through Thriveworks. I have spent many years getting extra training and education to specialize in children and adolescent mental health, although I do work with adults as well. I tend to use humor and sarcasm throughout the therapeutic process and tend to use a more eclectic approach to therapy as I believe that everyone is a unique individual and what works for one person, may not work for another.

I love listening to people and hearing their stories! I am genuinely curious about people’s lives and enjoy helping people find their strengths. I enjoy working with LGBTQ+ and BIPOC folx and allies for domestic violence, ADHD, ASD, anxiety, PTSD, trauma, self-esteem, and self-exploration. ! I am an ADHDer and domestic violence survivor. I also love running counseling groups! Groups give people the opportunity to meet new people, talk about what’s going on their lives, and support one another. Studies show group counseling is equally as effective as individual counseling! I have groups for Neurodiversity (teens and adults), Women and nonbinary people, and for Healing from Domestic Violence (groups for all genders). Adolescents Anxiety Behavioral Health Consulting and Coaching Depression and Bipolar Depth Psychology Domestic Violence EMDR Grief and Loss Groups LGBTQ Issues Life Transitions Psychotherapy PTSD Race and Ethnicity Issues Women's Issues I work with adults and adolescents, specializing in counseling those who experience themselves as outsiders to dominant culture and feel "other" due to lifestyle, oppression or societal and family bias. My practice is focused on client strengths and possibilities rather than deficits or pathology and I will strive to tailor your therapy specifically to your needs rather than asking you to fit your reality into a particular theory or school of thought. I use an anti-oppression lens in my work with clients and have a passion for social change on both the macro and micro levels. I believe that individual transformation through therapy is micro social change that can benefit the world at-large. I am also an Approved Supervisor for Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associates in Washington State and bring 18 years of experience in the therapy chair to my work as a mentor to emerging therapists who are interested in developing their skills as in-person clinicians. Graduate school equips us with theories and skills, but studies show that the most important factor for success with clients is the therapeutic relationship. With this in mind, my approach to supervision is primarily focused on helping you develop self-as-therapist skills like attunement, genuineness and embodied presence.

Addictions Anxiety Behavioral Health Depression and Bipolar Depth Psychology Geriatrics and Lifespan Grief and Loss Groups LGBTQ Issues Life Transitions Psychotherapy PTSD Women's Issues My counseling orientation comes primarily from a relational psychodynamic model, drawing from Attachment Theory, British Object Relations, Internal Family Systems, and an emerging field known as interpersonal neurobiology—the study of how our brains develop in relationships with others. I have additional training in trauma and addiction. I offer attuned presence in a non-judgmental environment, inviting ongoing exploration. I join people as they explore historical narratives and offer genuine involvement in uncovering patterns that cause distress. I help clients gain awareness of themselves and their development as it relates to present day challenges. I help people learn to listen to themselves, mind, body, spirit, and to respond with compassion.

Adolescents Anxiety Behavioral Health Depression and Bipolar Family Therapy Grief and Loss LGBTQ Issues Life Transitions Psychotherapy Race and Ethnicity Issues Workplace and Career I practice from an integrative perspective to fit the needs of each client. Each person has a unique situation that requires me to listen to your story with compassion, curiosity, and openness. I work with clients across the age-span, though I have extensive experience with ages 15-30. Many of my clients enter therapy after a life crisis such as a struggling child or adolescent, a death or illness, a change in career, a break-up, the affect of an addiction, identity issues, or simply patterns of worry or regret. I have training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (connecting thoughts/emotions with behaviors), Mindful Self Compassion (learning how to think about and treat yourself positively), and varying trauma-based therapies. I integrate talk therapy with a mind-body approach that connects your emotions and thoughts with physical sensations and body awareness. My job is to inspire you to create a new, positive narrative in your life, to heal from past wounds, and to begin small steps of change towards growth and wellbeing. I look forward to connecting with you. Please reach out to me if you’re interested in learning more.

Adolescents Anxiety Consulting and Coaching Disabilities Domestic Violence Grief and Loss Groups LGBTQ Issues Life Transitions Psychotherapy PTSD Race and Ethnicity Issues Women's Issues Hello and welcome! My pronouns are she/her. I welcome all bodies, all abilities, all races & ethnicities, all religions, all sexual orientations, identities, and expressions, all countries of origin, all people. I practice from both feminist and anti-oppression lenses in my work. I value the diversity and unique identity and experiences each of my clients brings into the room. We are all so much more than the labels we have been given. We each deserve to be supported in developing a sense of self rooted in choice and empowerment. We are multi-dimensional. There is so much to each of us, so much below the surface that cannot be seen without taking the time to interact with one another. I have spent a decade facilitating group work with women who had experienced trauma and abuse. My passion is to create an environment in which the stigma and silence surrounding abuse can be broken in the lives of those in our community. I have seen the freedom of healing that can be offered when people are supported by both individual and group therapy. I love working in a group setting because of the ability for attendees to be offered care from others with similar experiences. I focused my graduate work on expanding my knowledge of trauma and abuse. The goal is to bring into focus one's experience of familial, identity-based, religious, and social harms from a framework of one's attachment styles in current relationships. I work with others to identify healing experiences beyond talk therapy by integrating group work with a deeper awareness of one's somatic response to their history of trauma and abuse. I seek opportunities to increase my awareness of the oppression that exists in our community and world. I desire to create a safe place to explore the harm that you have experienced.

Anxiety Couples Therapy and Divorce Depression and Bipolar Depth Psychology Grief and Loss LGBTQ Issues Psychotherapy PTSD Women's Issues Whether you are seeking help as an individual or couple, I want to work with you in exploring what you feel and think so that you can better understand yourself and your relationships. Couples often have communication problems that seem to repeat without resolution. Understanding the reasons for these cycles can help you develop the ability to get unstuck. Individual therapy can help you deal with depression and anxiety. This can include coping with such issues as difficult life transitions, lack of meaning, low self-esteem, shame, or surviving child abuse. I have decades of experience including continuing education on up-to-date aspects of therapy. I integrate therapy approaches according to what might be most helpful to you. I have extensive training in Emotionally Focused Therapy, a scientifically pr0ven treatment for couples. I like diversity and enjoy working with adults from different backgrounds who are dealing with a variety of issues. I prefer working in a warm, informal style in which we talk with each other about your concerns, whether they are long-term or transitional. We can meet on a regular basis or as needed for a "tune up." I am licensed to work with people in GA and WA State. I provide therapy online. I find that meeting with you in your world can help you feel more comfortable and can be more convenient for you.

Anxiety Domestic Violence EMDR Grief and Loss LGBTQ Issues Psychotherapy PTSD Women's Issues I offer telehealth and in person appointments at my office on north Capitol Hill. Generally, my work focuses on psychodynamic and somatic approaches to trauma, including parts work, Polyvagal-informed therapy, and EMDR. I have extensive experience working with queer folks of all kinds, neurodivergence, relational abuse (DV, narcissistic abuse, sexual abuse), childhood attachment traumas, and incorporating spirituality into therapy. Specific niche populations I love to work with are gay and lesbian survivors of conversion therapy, folks of uncommon trans experience (eg. those who desisted or detransitioned, those who transitioned long ago and still live with gender dysphoria), and deconstruction of harms from religion in even mainline/liberal denominations. I provide clinical consultation on all of these topics, especially how to incorporate Polyvagal theory into therapeutic practice. I also enjoy supervising associates who do either similar or different work compared to my work (my own supervisor was an LMFT, and I find we can learn a lot from therapists with different approaches!)
