I hold a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision. This degree equipped me as a counseling professional to teach in higher education classrooms by learning the theory and practice of educating and supervising future counselors in clinical, behavioral, and human services settings. It also allowed me to learn and apply leadership skills in these same setting through teaching, training, and consultation. Over time and through experience I have become very passionate about the supervision process for new professionals and the consultation process for seasoned professionals. I have taught various classes as an Assistant Professor for a CACREP accredited and ACA approved counselor education and supervision doctoral program and have also taught adjunct for master’s level counseling classes. I belong to the following organizations: • American Counseling Association (ACA) • American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) • Washington Mental Health Counselors Association (WMHCA) • Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (ACES) • Western Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (WACES) Clinically, I have been providing mental health and substance use disorder services for over 25 years. I am currently the co-owner of Fountaingate Wellness in Marysville, WA. I enjoy collaborating with counselors who wish to enthusiastically approach the supervision process to grow personally and professionally. I prefer supervisees who are looking for more than a supervision experience of merely checking off boxes, but rather, one who is willing to wrestle with oneself as an instrument of change that won’t get in the way of the change process.
