Changes to Regence Reimbursement

Regence has announced that there will be changes to their reimbursement schedule for behavioral health providers, including LICSWs, psychologists, LMHCs, LMFTs, and ARNPs, as of October 1, 2015.

The changes will be based on the CPT codes 90834 and 90837.  As you know the reconfiguration of these codes in 2013 made them one minute apart.  Regence has decided that this is not a significant difference and therefore will begin paying the same amount for both codes.  The rate for 90834 will go up and the rate for 90837 will go down.  The exact rates can be found on the Regence website starting tomorrow for those of you who are Regence providers.  You will also be receiving a letter from Regence on this topic in the next few days.
