JOB SUMMARY:

$10000 Hiring Incentive - $2000 due after 90 days, $8000 due after 18 months

The Behavioral Health Specialist is a core member of the Clinical Team, which includes the patient’s medical provider and psychiatric consultant, as well as the larger care team. The Behavioral Health Specialist is responsible for supporting and coordinating the mental and physical healthcare, including substance use issues, of patients on an assigned patient caseload with the patient’s medical provider, and when appropriate, other mental health and substance use treatment providers.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
• Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work from an educational program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education required
• Chemical dependency training preferred
• Basic knowledge of psychopharmacology for common behavioral health disorders preferred

Experience
• Experience with screening for common mental health and substance abuse disorders required
• Experience with assessment and treatment planning for common mental health and substance use disorders required
• Experience with evidence-based counseling techniques required
Licensure/Credentials
• Washington State Licenced Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) certification required within three years of hire
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire

You can also use the PTO PSL bank just like you use your PTO bank (meaning you do not have to be sick to use this bank).
Extended Illness Bank
Accrues based on hours worked, equivalent to 4 days per year for a full-time employee (pro-rated for part-time). Maximum of 480 hours allowed in bank. Accrued time may be used to cover illnesses beginning the 4th scheduled consecutive day of work missed due to illness.
