CBT is a goal-oriented and collaborative approach that focuses on the connections between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and that it also offers tools to manage their thoughts and emotions effectively
The Four key elements of CBT:
1. A convincing rationale for the intervention,
2. Training in practical skills to change mood-related thoughts or behaviors,
3. Encouraging practice of the skills outside of the therapy sessions
4. Attribution of improvement to the use of the skills and not to therapist contact.
What you will gain from participation:
•Recognize your negative thought patterns and unhealthy patterns in your thinking
•Learn new constructive ways of thinking that will improve your mood and relationships
•Practice your new skills and get support and constructive feedback
•Learn relaxation strategies to prevent emotional flooding and achieve emotional regulation
•Receive support from peers with similar problems
Come and join us. Pick up what is useful, congratulate yourself for what you already know, and join us in wondering why these skills are not taught in every high school.
Cost: $70.00 per weekly session. May be reimbursed by your insurance. Credit cards accepted.
